While we love showcasing some of our more rural areas in New York, sometimes there's just no denying the greatness that's hiding right above us in our big cities. Packed with breathtaking views and unique flavor, here are 10 restaurants in our state with incredible rooftop dining:
1. 230 Fifth, New York
New York's largest outdoor rooftop garden, this incredible dining spot provides you with an impressive view of the Empire State Building. With an American-style menu that will please any New Yorker, we personally recommend trying the burger or hummus plate!

2. Tappo Restaurant, Buffalo
Right in Downtown Buffalo you'll find this wondrous Italian restaurant which offers a smaller menu, but will not disappoint. With memorable desserts that will speak directly to each and every sweet tooth in your mouth, there's something delicious for everyone to try.

3. Alma, Brooklyn
This outdoor dining spot is one you won't want to miss! Booming Mexican flavors and a panoramic view of Manhattan are what you'll find at Alma's, opening its doors back in 2002. With generous sized bowls filled with guac and amazing sunsets to be seen over the Upper Bay, we suggest taking a trip to this spot on their weekly Taco Tuesday night!

An absolutely charming restaurant with an overall French style, Juliette's stands for high quality and fresh ingredients. Step inside this wonderful dining spot and you'll quickly forget where you are, believing you've somehow stepped into the perfect Parisian cafe right around the corner from the Eiffel Tower. One of the most charming spots on our list, this amazing rooftop garden and dining spot is filled with luscious greenery in New York's warmer months. With a remarkable menu that will have your mouth watering, we suggest trying out the scrumptious brunch buffet.

6. Hattie's Restaurant at The Strathallan, Rochester
One of the absolute best places you can go to in Rochester for consistently delectable Japanese food, Hattie's will become your go-to place to treat yourself. With a fresh and tasty menu and beautiful 360 views of the surrounding city, you'll enjoy dining at this Western New York gem.

7. Salvation Taco at Pod 39, New York
Ready for a unique setting that looks like it's something you found straight out of a movie? With warm and fascinating decor, you'll love dining here and enjoying the great taco cart. Opening daily at 4PM, this outdoor dining area also offers a great selection of drinks and fantastic guac and salsa!

8. Graziella's, Brooklyn
While several of the restaurants on our list have Italian-style menus, not all of them amazing wood fired pizza! Made into an Italian restaurant from an empty garage, Graziella's opened back in 2004. With a menu made up of original family recipes and handfuls of different pizzas to choose from, you can't go wrong eating here.

9. Nico's Rooftop Tavern, Schenectady
A great rooftop dining spot that won't have you walking out with your pockets completely empty, Nico's is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat and a beer. With a sizable menu that will make just about any New York resident's stomach rumble, you can't go wrong with choosing one of the many flavored wings! Our recommendation? Try the Peanut Butter & Jelly Wings. Yum!

Often overlooked as just a beer garden, this wonderful rooftop dining spot in the city won't disappoint you with its tasty variety of meats. With an Italian-style menu and fantastic drink selection, this restaurant is relatively crowded on most days so we suggest making reservations beforehand if it's possible.
