Woodbridge is my hometown, and I usually find myself eating lunch on Main Street when I drop something off at City Hall. I usually choose between fried chicken, diner classics, or casual Thai - but until now, Woodbridge has been lacking what I would say is a true fine dining steakhouse for fancy nights out. That's all changed with the arrival of Strickland's Steakhouse, the best new steakhouse in New Jersey and a stunning destination that's been built into the stately facade of a historic bank. This iconic building has been completely transformed, and the interior is just as incredible as the exterior. Of course, as good as it looks, the star attraction here is definitely the cuts of beef! The National Woodbridge Bank is a famous town landmark - and now the long-closed bank is under new management as an elite steakhouse.

Welcome to Strickland's Steakhouse, a unique retro-chic restaurant owned by the husband and wife duo of Michael and Jessica Strickland.

The menu here trends toward classic steakhouse fare, starting with the appetizers - including calamari, crab cakes, and a massive meatball.

The signature cut is definitely the thick-cut bacon, perfectly rendered and glazed in a bourbon sauce.

For lunch, there is a great selection of light entrees and sandwiches, including some of Woodbridge's best burgers.

At dinner, the focus shifts to the high-end steaks - on display in the dry-aging case.

Choose from filet mignon, NY strip, Kansas City strip, ribeye, or a porterhouse or tomahawk for two.
