Here Are 10 BBQ Joints In New Jersey That Will Leave Your Mouth Watering Uncontrollably

New Jersey sure does love its barbecue. We're home to half a dozen barbecue festivals and countless crave-worthy BBQ joints. While most are magnificent, some stand out more than others. Here are some of my personal favorite rib spots in Jersey.

2. Cubby's BBQ, Hackensack

You may notice newspaper clippings around this Hackensack hot spot. Many detail the restaurant's vital part in diplomatic efforts between the United States and North Korea. The barbecue joint is a favorite among locals AND foreign diplomats.

3. Grub Hut, Manville

This Mexican barbecue joint offers delicious pulled pork and empanadas side by side.

4. Local Smoke BBQ, Neptune City & Cookstown

This Jersey joint has won over 100 awards nationally in barbecue competitions. Everything is incredible, but I love the bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers.

5. The Wood Pit, Montclair

Serving up southern-style barbecue, this local favorite has won several "readers choice" awards.

6. The Original Big Ed's BBQ, Old Bridge

The look, feel and food in this Central Jersey spot are all spot-on. They have a great vibe and great ribs! Check out their website for a printable coupon.

7. Henri's Hotts Barbeque Restaurant, Folsom

One of the best BBQ joints in South Jersey, enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet on weekends for just $14.50. I'm in!

8. Mighty Quinn's Barbecue, Clifton

Not your typical BBQ joint, the menu is limited and you order assembly line-style. Still, everything is amazing - especially the "Brontosaurus Rib".

9. Whole Hog Cafe, Cherry Hill

This Southern chain restaurant has one Northeast location, and we're sure glad to have been chosen. They've been featured in Fodor's and on the Food Network. You have to try their incredible selection of sauces!
