The Montana Steakhouse In The Middle Of Nowhere That’s One Of The Best On Earth

We're not sure why some of Montana's best steakhouses are located in the middle of nowhere, but we're not complaining--they're always worth the trip. Marysville House is no exception. We'd go as far as to proclaim it one of the best steakhouses on Earth.

You'll find Marysville House at 153 W Main St. in Marysville, which has a population of 80.

This building dates back to the late 1800s. It was once the "Silver City" Great Northern Railroad Station, back when Silver City was a bustling mining town. When the train stopped running, this building stayed vacant until 1975, when it was purchased by a longtime resident of Marysville.

The current dining room was the freight and baggage room of the train station, and the bar was the place for passengers and the Station Master.

These days, it's a popular steakhouse. Arriving on horseback is appreciated but not required.

Marysville House is open all year, offering a cozy place to warm up in the winter and a cool place to relax in the summertime.

The interior is cozy, casual, and always welcoming.

Some of the original details from the railroad station remain.

Good news for big eaters: Marysville House is known for its giant portions.

This is the 24 oz. porterhouse, which is cooked to perfection.

They also serve seafood that is out of this world.

Their Alaskan King crab legs are second to none.

Marysville House is surrounded by the natural beauty of Big Sky Country.

You won't find a more authentic dining experience than this. They're open from Wednesday - Sunday, from 4 PM until the last steak has been served.
