Folks Are Willing To Drive For Hours For A Burger From Parker’s Restaurant In Montana
Parker's Restaurant in Drummond, Montana, offers a wide variety of creative burgers and a special food challenge.
We certainly love a good burger here in Montana, and sometimes we're happy to go the extra mile... or many miles, if necessary... to get them. If you've ever been to the little town of Drummond, you know there's not much to it - but it does happen to be home to Parker's Restaurant, a well-known burger joint with a seemingly endless array of options. If you've never tried one for yourself, it may be time to hit the road.
It all started in 2011, when Jennifer and Brent Parker purchased the building and decided to open a small family eatery.
Previously, they'd been operating the Frosty Freeze next door. They run Parker's with their son, Brent, who has a culinary background. Their son Sean was also an integral part of the business until he sadly passed away from cancer in 2014.
Inside, the space is decked out in Coca Cola memorabilia, which Jennifer and Brent have collected over the years.
Both admit to being avid collectors, but it just makes the space feel homey and welcoming.
While burgers aren't the only thing on the menu, they're definitely the main attraction.
And with so many to choose from, it's safe to say you'll want to dine here more than once.
They started off selling about 50 different burgers, but they soon realized they had a lot of ideas.
They love to be creative with their food - and it shows.
In addition to the massive burger list, Parker's offers a special burger challenge.
If you can eat a two pound loaded cheeseburger, a pound of French fries, and a large milkshake in 20 minutes, your meal is free. And while you'll probably want to savor your meal a bit longer, there are some Montanans who have won that challenge.
The burgers are all made from pure Montana beef, so you'll always be eating local here.
And once you'v tried a Rodeo Burger or a Pizza Burger, you'll be hooked.
Parker's Restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The next time you're in the area, take a detour off I-90 and try these tasty burgers.
