If you are searching for a new day trip destination, the town of Forest must be on your list. Located in Scott County, approximately 5,300 people call this area home. And while there is plenty to do and see in this charming area, when hunger strikes, there is one place you need to go — The Garden Patch. This unassuming restaurant is home to one of the best buffets in Mississippi. Come hungry — you are in for one of the best meals of your life.
When you are in the mood for classic country fare, there is no better place to go than The Garden Patch. Located at 220 Woodland Dr. North in Forest, this Mississippi restaurant is going to excite your taste buds.
From the outside, the restaurant isn’t anything impressive but inside you’ll find a welcoming and inviting atmosphere that will make you want to sit down, dive into your meal, and stay for a while.
And you’ll certainly be in no rush to leave when you take the first bite of your food.
This restaurant serves a classic country buffet and everything is delicious. You’ll find a large assortment of dishes including fried chicken and grilled chicken tenders.
For sides, you’ll find favorites like butter beans, turnip greens, and homemade cornbread.
I love a good cobbler and you’ll want to save room for the desserts (including cobbler!) served at The Garden Patch. It’s not easy to do though. You’ll want to lick every plate clean.
The Garden Patch is open Monday through Thursday each week. It only serves lunch. You can learn more on The Garden Patch Facebook page including news and updates.
