This is Klondyke Trading Post. Housed in a former two-bay gas station, the "uniquely Southern restaurant" has won numerous awards and even featured on the show Appetite for Life.
A Vicksburg staple, the historic Klondyke Trading Post has been doing business in the same location for over 100 years!
And it's been a local favorite for nearly just as long.
Throughout the decades, the eatery has been recognized countless times. In addition to being named Vicksburg’s Favorite Restaurant, it’s been awarded Best Steak, Best Hamburger, and Best Locally Owned Restaurant.
The fare is varied and sure to hit the spot. In addition to a menu of steaks, catfish, sandwiches, and burgers…
…there are daily specials, which include southern favorites, like hamburger steak, roast chicken and dumplings, and pork chops.
The restaurant’s appearance is likely to make as much of an impression as the food. An eclectic collection of antiques and artifacts cover almost every inch of the interior.
There’s also the one-of-a-kind bar, which is made out of thousands of pennies – 10,000 to be exact.
