Here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, we have firehouse-themed grilles, restaurants that take you away to a tropical paradise, and many other unique places to dine. One of the most unique? This restaurant in Minneapolis that used to be a bank. Take a look:

BANK is a restaurant located at 88 South 6th Street in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is located within the Westin Minneapolis hotel.

From the outside, the restaurant looks like it did more than 60 years ago when it was the Farmers & Mechanics Bank. The original signage is still on the building.

The interior is just as grand. The old bank lobby is now an enormous dining area with high ceilings, original millwork, and the same character the old bank had decades ago.

The upscale furnishings certainly feel like a bank, with booths offering privacy and tables allowing diners a chance to enjoy the ambiance.

For those who desire true seclusion, the restaurant also has private dining rooms that are just as beautiful as the old bank lobby.

Even the old bank vault was repurposed. It is now a wine cellar.

As for the food, BANK has a menu of American cuisine with a modern twist. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Plenty of great, shareable appetizers are found on the dinner menu...

...along with fresh, flavorful entrees. Whether you prefer a burger or a New York strip, you will not leave disappointed.

And don't forget to top it off with dessert!

The BANK happy hour is also a great way to experience this bank-turned-restaurant. What better way to take in the surroundings than with a drink in hand?

Have you ever been to this restaurant located in a former bank? What did you think?
