The Tiny Restaurant In Massachusetts That Only Serves Ten Tables At A Time

When it comes to delicious restaurants, bigger doesn't always mean better. Some of Massachusetts' best eateries are intimate spots that turn out really incredible meals. Only In Massachusetts has already told you about tiny restaurants such as Passports Restaurant in Gloucester and the appropriately named Tiny's Restaurant in Ayer. There is another wonderful little bar and restaurant hiding in Jamaica Plain, and I just love its name.

Ten Tables is a delicious neighborhood restaurant that is located on Centre Street in Jamaica Plain. You can probably guess the origin of the restaurant's name. Yes, Ten Tables’ dining room is made up of only 10 tables!

This small atmosphere makes for a very unique and intimate dining experience.

Ten Tables specializes in delicious, farm-to-table meals. The restaurant features seasonal ingredients, so they are constantly updating menu items.

Popular entrees include pan-seared salmon, lamb lollipops, and Allandale Farm eggplant rollatini.

The restaurant also hosts rotating weekly theme nights. On “Beerger Tuesdays” you can get a specialty burger, french fries, and a beer for under $20. “Pasta Thursday” specials include homemade pasta and a can of wine.

And don't forget to leave room for a sweet treat. Pumpkin cheesecake is my personal favorite!

Ten Tables also features a full bar serving cocktails, mocktails, organic wines, and craft beers.

In my opinion, the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant is the best part of the dining experience. However, the menu items are also available to be picked up and enjoyed at home.

Ten Tables is open on select nights for dinner only. If you are dining on-site, I suggest making reservations in advance. Those 10 tables sure do fill up quickly!

Have you dined at Ten Tables? If so, we would love for you to tell us all about your experience. More information about this tiny restaurant can be found on the Ten Tables website and the Ten Tables Facebook page. If you are spending the day in JP, you may also wish to spend some time walking around beautiful Jamaica Pond and taking a tour of the iconic Samuel Adams Brewery. The book, "Jamaica Plain Through Time" is a great read for those wanting to learn more about the history of this interesting Boston neighborhood.
