This Tiny Brewery In Maine Was Named The Best In The Nation

Maine has made a name for itself as one of the best destinations in America if you love food and beverage. Leading the charge (at least as far as press goes) is Portland. From dinner to brunch to cocktails to beer, there's not much you can't find if you're hungry in Maine's biggest town. Especially when it comes to drinks! This brewery is one of the larges in Maine, but when you consider the size of some of the craft breweries across the country, this one might be considered on the smaller side by comparison. Regardless of its square footage, we're just happy that it exists here in Maine. And that it's getting some national attention!

Bissel Brothers Brewing Company, located in Portland, got its start back 2013.

Noah and Peter Bissell got their start in a humble spot on Industrial Way, learning what they most loved about brewing and ultimately becoming one of the most beloved and well-known spots in Maine.

They've since grown tremendously.

And they now occupy a large space at Thompsons Point, making it a go-to destination for pre-show drinks in the summer.

But, of course, we love it any day.

And in the winter things head indoors.

The flagship brew that kicked things off, The Substance Ale, is still a favorite and it's brewed weekly.

There's a very specific release schedule for cans and you'll want to pay close attention. These might be our favorite cans in the state!

Speaking of the state, you'll find BBB all over the place. From Portland to Greenville to Skowhegan. In fact, the demand is so high in Vacationland that distribution is limited to Maine right now.

You've surely seem the logo all over the state, so give them a visit in Portland and be sure to leave with your own show of pride.
