Avo, an Italian restaurant on Magazine Street in New Orleans, offers incredible homemade pasta and non-pasta dishes in a charming atmosphere.
With so many restaurants in New Orleans, it can seem a bit overwhelming. You may have passed by this particular restaurant a dozen times and never given it a second glance, but this inconspicuous restaurant in New Orleans has the most incredible Italian food you've ever tasted.
Avo is a delightful little Italian Restaurant over on Magazine Street.
Native New Orleanian chef Nick Lama established Avo in 2015. "Avo" is an Italian word that means "grandfather" or "ancestor", which is exactly what the third-generation Sicilian was going for.
The Uptown restaurant has a charming little courtyard that’s the perfect atmosphere when the weather is nice.
It’s the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or even just a casual evening with friends.
If it’s too chilly or raining, you can enjoy your meal in their lovely dining room.
Classic and elegant yet casual. The perfect combination!
For homemade pasta dishes, no one does it better.
From lasagnas to linguine, you’re going to fall in love after one bite.
And they also have an array of amazing non-pasta dishes to satisfy your soul.
Veal short ribs, duck breast, and filet mignon are just some of the delicious items you’ll find on the menu.
Avo is open for dinner Monday-Saturday from 5pm-10pm.
You can find them at 5908 Magazine St., New Orleans, LA 70115.
