Is there a better summer tradition than dining on the water? I don't think so - somehow the food just tastes better when the river or lake is only feet away. Naturally, the Iowa Great Lakes are at the heart of summer fun in Iowa, and that includes the dining scene. It's pretty easy to find a waterfront restaurant in Arnolds Park, Iowa, especially during the busy season, but one of our favorites has got to be The Ritz. Unlike a Ritz-Carlton hotel, this is a pretty casual affair - but the food is anything but. There should be something on the menu for everyone here, but one of the highlights is the weekly specials. There's also an affordable and delicious steak dinner on the weekend that's not to be missed. We have more good things to say about this place, but the best way to discover them is to see them for yourself, so read on!

This casual-dining restaurant has been here since 1989 and is a pillar of the community - recently helping provide food to workers after a flood in the region.
The menu here is mostly casual, with some fan favorites like these nacho-style fries!
The menu is designed to offer something for everyone, so odds are your whole family or party will be happy here.
One of the highlights is the dinner specials every night, including steak-and-chop dinners at affordable prices on Friday and Saturday. The broasted chicken on Sunday is also a fan-favorite.
While there is a full indoor dining room, most people choose the beautiful outdoor patio when the weather is nice.
There is no better place to enjoy a cold beer or an over-the-top bloody mary!
