Universal’s Epic Universe is a jaw-dropping fusion of imagination, thrill rides, and—let’s be honest—the real main event: food. Yes, the coasters are cool. The immersive lands are stunning. But between near-death experiences on Stardust Racers in Celestial Park and ducking a fire-spinning windmill in Dark Universe, I spent most of my time chasing down snacks like they were rare Pokémon. And let me tell you, Epic Universe food did not disappoint. Here are the best bites, sips, and full-on feasts I devoured at this fantastical foodie playground.

1. Goldfish Mac & Cheese Cone - Isle of Berk

alt

First things first, it's hard to say no to a creamy helping of macaroni and cheese in a garlic bread cup. I was lucky enough to snag this treat in Isle of Berk, and was pleasantly surprised. Topped with a crunchy handful of Goldfish crackers, it’s nostalgic and ridiculous in the best way—like a comfort food carnival in one hand.

2. DK Crush Sundae - Super Nintendo World

alt

This sundae was bananas—in every sense. Layers of banana soft serve, pineapple soda, and chunks of caramel popcorn all crammed into a tropical cup. I could picture Donkey Kong himself crushing one after a jungle sprint. It was sweet, cool, and wildly fun to eat while watching the rollercoasters race through the water. Plus, with the fun souvenir cup to take home, the party never stops.

3. Frankenstein Pretzel - Dark Universe

alt

This monstrous soft pretzel came stitched together like Frankenstein’s monster. It was massive, warm, and absurdly satisfying with a creamy cheese dip. A snack you can share with everyone as you plan your next ride. However, it is oddly ironic that you're deconstructing this monster's head when Dr. Victoria spent so much time stitching him together in the first place.

4. Vegan Sausage and Peppers - Meteor Astropub

alt

This dish was a cosmic surprise—spicy vegan sausage grilled just right, nestled in sautéed peppers and onions. It felt hearty and bold, with a smoky flavor that hit like a meteor strike. It’s the kind of meal that makes you forget it’s plant-based. Vegans and omnivores, rejoice!

5. Butterbeer Crepe - Ministry of Magic

alt

This was wizardry on a plate. A golden crepe folded around creamy Butterbeer mousse and butterscotch drizzle, topped with a sprinkle of magic (or powdered sugar). Every bite melted in my mouth like a spell cast by a sugar-happy witch. It’s Butterbeer like you’ve never had it before, but with a fun 1920s Parisian twist.

6. The Monocane Mocktail - Dark Universe

alt

Dark and moody with layers of blackberry, lemon, and herbal notes, this non-alcoholic drink felt like sipping secrets in a gothic manor. It was mysterious and bold, served in a souvenir beaker glass with dramatic flair—definitely not your average theme park beverage. I felt cool just holding it.

7. Valka's Vegan Burger - Isle of Berk

alt

This burger is everything I wanted post-dragon ride: savory, juicy, and fully plant-based. The patty was crusted with panko and topped with crisp greens, tangy sauce, and a sturdy bun that held up through every bite. It felt like something a Viking warrior would eat—if they were vegan and eco-conscious.

8. Kai-Ming's Mapo Tofu - The Blue Dragon

alt

The Blue Dragon was easily my favorite new restaurant throughout Epic Universe, especially the Mapo Tofu dish. Silky tofu swam in a fiery, numbing Szechuan sauce, full of umami and mouth-tingling heat. This wasn’t theme park food—it was legit. The spice hit hard and lingered, balanced by jasmine rice and cool cucumber salad. I’m still thinking about it. This one’s for the adventurous eater.

9. The Nanarossa Pizza - Pizza Moon

alt

Pizza Moon is a feast for the senses as soon as you step through the doors, and really, you can't go wrong no matter which pizza you choose. But the Nanarossa Pizza is a new take on an original classic. This hand-tossed pizza rocked a chunky tomato sauce, thick slices of melted mozzarella, and was topped with fresh basil leaves. Funky, flavorful, and surprisingly artisan for a theme park slice. Especially when you watch it cook in the wood-fired oven center restaurant!

10. Northern Lights Martini - The Atlantic

alt

This cocktail was pure spectacle—iridescent, color-shifting, and served in a glowing glass. It tasted like elderflower and citrus with a cool ocean breeze twist. Sipping it felt like watching auroras from a seaside cliff. It’s not just a drink—it’s a moment. Fancy, fresh, and totally unforgettable.

All in all, Universal’s Epic Universe doesn’t just deliver on thrills—it completely raises the bar for theme park cuisine. The flavors are bold, the creativity is sky-high, and you’ll need stretchy pants to fully enjoy the journey. If this is the future of amusement park food, I’m all in.

And if you see someone wandering around with glitter on their face, Frozen Butterbeer stains on their shirt, and churro sugar in their pockets… say hi. It’s probably me.
