The Charming Restaurant Hiding Underneath Larimer Street That You Simpy Must Visit

Next time you're walking around LoDo in historic Larimer Square, be on the lookout for Milk and Honey Bar-Kitchen. If you don't know it's there, it could be easy to miss. And, trust me, you don't want to miss out on this underground restaurant that serves up legendary New American food and unique craft cocktails.

This charming eatery is tucked away in Larimer Square's famed secret garden and offers the chance to dine out in their European-style bricked courtyard.

Inside, you will find that this elegantly remodeled subterranean eatery boasts sleek white leather banquettes surrounded by dark wood and exposed brick.

Diners and drinkers feel like they are a world away from it all as they cozy up in one of Milk & Honey's black snake-skinned booths to take a peek at the globally influenced menu.

Milk & Honey was founded by executive chef Michael Shiell who is well known for his former Cherry Creek restaurant, Michael's, that was a hot spot in the 90s. The focus of this eatery is to offer approachable fine dining options that feature classic dishes with a playful twist.

The menu features a variety of snacks, small plates, veggies, and entrees that are made from scratch and carefully crafted to delight your senses.

Milk & Honey offers delicious brunch options on Saturday and Sundays. Another reason to be thankful for the weekend!

You could begin with their take on the well-loved brunch beverages such as a Mimosa or Bloody Mary. Or, you could step it up a notch and give their Breakfast Shot a try (Jameson, butterscotch, and orange juice). With hand-rolled cheddar biscuits and gravy or a fried chicken waffle sandwich, you'll feel right at home with these brunch entrees that offer something so familiar, but with a difference that will take your taste buds over the top.

Grab a couple of friends for dinner and give the Tomahawk Rib-eye a try. This delicious entree serves 2-3 people and is served with bone marrow and grilled asparagus.

Try to save room for one of Milk & Honey's decadent house-made desserts including a chocolate hazelnut tart or salted caramel pot de creme.

Milk & Honey is closed on Mondays, but definitely stop in Tuesday through Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m. for lunch. Brunch begins at 10:30 a.m. on the weekends, and they close nightly at 10:30 p.m.
