Hap Cameron is the owner and operator of Happy Cones Co Ice Cream. In 2015, he started his business from a converted school bus with our nation's first imported New Zealand ice cream blending machine. Hap is from New Zealand himself and grew up eating his country's special style of ice cream. New Zealand-style ice cream is a blend of soft serve ice cream and fresh fruit; it was created near New Zealand's berry orchards, known as Real Fruit Ice Cream. When Hap moved to the United States, he knew Americans would love it just as much as New Zealanders.

He was right! The ice cream he served out of the school bus was so popular that, by 2019, he was able to open his first brick-and-mortar shop inside Edgewater Public Market. By 2021, he opened a second shop in the Golden Mill Food Hall in Golden, Colorado. People come from all over Denver and beyond to indulge in Happy Cones Co's tasty and fruity treats.

All ice cream offered at Happy Cones Co is natural—no artificial flavors! When you order a cone of Happy Cones Co soft serve, ice cream made on site is added to the New Zealand ice cream blending machine, along with a scoop of fresh fruit of your choice. Each cone is filled with roughly 2/3 ice cream and 1/3 fruit blended together. The results are incredible.

Happy Cones Co offers regular ice cream in a variety of flavors that are always available including Cookies N Cream, chocolate, Hokey Pokey, mint chip, sweet cream, cotton candy gumdrop, and others.
