Not quite sure what to eat for lunch? If you happen to be on the lookout for your next favorite restaurant that is both delicious and inconspicuous, then you'll want to check out this place we're highlight today!
Chino Bandido is a little hole in the wall restaurant in north Phoenix and is actually fairly easy to pass by since it sits in a strip mall. You won't want to the next time you're passing through this area though!
The hole in the wall feel also continues inside where the decor is simple so that you can focus on the food.
Featured on shows like "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" and "Check Please," this restaurant features a unique menu that is both strange and tasty.
Here, you'll find a menu that blends Mexican and Chinese dishes into one mouthwatering bowl. You even get an option of a Caribbean item, jerk chicken.
When you order, you get an option of creating a combo bowl with items like chile relleno, Chinese BBQ pork, or carnitas. Add some fried rice and refried beans and you have one strange meal that is also tasty.
One of the favorites here is the jade red chicken, a breaded chicken mixed with a spicy-sweet sauce.
You can also enjoy this oddball combination: a beef burrito served alongside emerald chicken, jerk chicken fried rice, and black beans.
Wash your meal down with a typical soft drink or an ice cold beer.
And don't forget to get a serving or two of delicious cookies for dessert! The snickerdoodle is a favorite option here.
Chino Bandido is located at 15414 North 19th Avenue in Phoenix. You can find their menu, hours, and even order online by visiting their website, chinobandido.com.
