Discover several hole-in-the-wall restaurants in Arizona that offer surprisingly delicious meals.
You’ve heard the adage, "don’t judge a book by its cover," right? Well, the same definitely goes for restaurants because some of the tastiest meals I’ve ever had were in storefronts that would make most people think twice about entering. Here are several hole in the wall restaurants in Arizona that we think you just might enjoy. Cheers!
1. Bigfoot BBQ, Flagstaff
Found in the basement of a shopping center behind a clothing store, this restaurant seems oddly placed and a bit questionable. Don’t let that fool you! They serve some tasty, hefty barbequed meals that are absolutely delicious.

2. Burger House, Miami
La Cocina de Casillas, better known as the Burger House, serves both Mexican food and burgers. The portions are pretty crazy (just look at that burger!) but the mouth watering flavors will have you coming back for more.
3. Chino Bandido, Phoenix
This restaurant is an easy one to pass up but it does offer a pretty crazy flavor explosion. Who would have ever though Chinese and Mexican foods would go so well together? One favorite combination is the jade red chicken with black beans

4. El Norteño, Phoenix
This cash only restaurant focuses strictly on the food and flavors, and serves some ridiculously good meals. The tacos and chimis are great and the red chile is nice and spicy.

Looking at this bright yellow restaurant from the outside, you probably wouldn’t expect much from your meal. Surprise! You’ll get quite the flavor explosion here.

6. Frank’s Restaurant, Tucson
When a restaurant’s tagline is "elegant dining elsewhere," you know you’re at a hole-in-the-wall location. Frank’s, which turns into Francisco’s after dark, serves food that is flavorful and fast so arrive with an empty belly!

7. Harlow’s Cafe, Tempe
A remnant of the Tempe that used to exist, this little restaurant can look a little run down compared to some of the newer places that have popped up in the city over the last few years. However, this place is a definite mainstay as it serves delicious breakfast and lunch options in a classic diner feel.

8. Little Sombrero, Casa Grande
This restaurant looks a little beat but its 40-something years serving food in Casa Grande shows that it’s an area favorite. The burritos are a favorite, so if you’re wondering what to get, try that!
