Back For Its Second Year, Winter Wonders In Wisconsin Is Sure To Become A Holiday Tradition

Winter Wonders at Boerner Botanical Gardens is a drive-thru holiday light display featuring one million lights and new displays.

If you feel like you’ve already explored all of Wisconsin’s drive-thru displays, we’ve got some great news - there’s one that you might not know about. Held for the first time in 2019, Winter Wonders is still fairly new, so many are unaware of its existence. And even if you visited last year, you’re still in for a treat since the display has been completely re-imagined for 2020. Read on for all the details:

Located 15 minutes outside of Milwaukee, Boerner Botanical Gardens provides a green and serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The garden plays host to a variety of events throughout the year, including China Lights, a lantern festival.

But that isn’t the only time the garden is set aglow by tons of twinkling lights.

Winter Wonders, the garden’s drive-thru holiday light display, is back for its 2nd year – and it promises to be “bigger and brighter” than last year.

The work of theatrical lighting designer “Laser Bob” Mullins and his talented team, this year’s Winter Wonders features a variety of dramatic lighting techniques.

It also boasts one million lights and several new displays.

So, are you ready to gather your loved ones and (safely) celebrate the wonders of the season with light?

Winter Wonders is open nightly November 20, 2020 – January 3, 2021, from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Tickets are $25 per carload for cars, vans, mini vans, pick-ups, and SUVs.

In a hurry? Consider purchasing a “Skip the Line” ticket, which is $35 and allows for early entry.

For more information, call (866) 888-2555. Additionally, you can visit the Winter Wonders website or Facebook page.
