The WPS Garden Of Lights In Wisconsin Is A Magical Wintertime Experience
WPS Garden of Lights at Green Bay Botanical Garden is a must-visit holiday light display featuring over 300,000 lights and new attractions.
With countless holiday light displays throughout the state, it can be hard to decide which to visit. And while each display is great in its own right, there are a couple that shouldn’t be missed – and WPS Garden of Lights is one of them. The beloved display has been wowing tens of thousands of visitors for over 20 years, and this year, you should be one of them! Take a look:
There’s no better place for a horticultural adventure than Green Bay Botanical Garden! The 47-acre property boasts 23.5 acres of lush gardens and impressive architecture.
Throughout the year, Green Bay Botanical Garden hosts a variety of special events, including WPS Garden of Lights, an annual holiday display.
Heading into its 24th year, WPS Garden of Lights is one of the area’s most popular Yuletide events, attracting 65,000 – 75,000 people a year!
There have been several changes made to this year’s event, including a slew of safety measures and three new displays.
Among the new additions are a 60-foot oak tree that rotates through the seasons in a matter of minutes, an illuminated winter wonderland, and multi-color lights on trees in several areas.
Despite the modifications to this year’s event, visitors will still see more than 300,000 lights in nature-inspired displays.
Old favorites, such as the Icicle Forest and walk-through caterpillar, are also part of this year’s festive fun.
And just like in prior years, you can walk through the 1.5-mile display or...
...take a horse-drawn wagon.
WPS Garden of Lights is open Thursdays thru Sundays between November 27th and December 20th. It’s also open Saturday, December 26th – Wednesday, December 30th, Friday, January 1st, and Saturday, January 2nd. Remember, tickets for WPS Garden of Lights must be purchased in advance.
