An Old-School Favorite, Vitense Golfland In Wisconsin Is Fun For All Ages

Vitense Golfland in Madison, Wisconsin, offers three interactive miniature golf courses with unique themes and various other entertainment amenities.

There’s no better place to get your putt-putt on than Vitense Golfland. The decades-old attraction is home to not one, not two, but three miniature golf courses! What’s more, its courses have been deemed the best in Wisconsin and among the best in America.

Vitense Golfland is a golf and entertainment center in Madison.

The expansive facility features lots of amenities, including THREE mini golf courses.

There's also a golf course, driving range, indoor golf and multi-sport simulators, batting cage, a climbing wall, volleyball courses, and more.

There are two outdoor courses and one indoor course, making Vitense Golfland a year-round mini-golf destination.

Each 18-hole course features a distinct theme. Outside, there’s a California-themed course and a Wisconsin-themed course.

The interior course is Madison-themed and features familiar sites and attractions.

The best thing about the courses, though, is that they’re interactive, which means you don’t just putt-putt along.

Instead, you slide, ride, climb, and zip your way through the courses.

Each course is a mix between a playground and a miniature golf course – and that’s the point.

Back in 1955, founder George Vitense set out to create a golf course that would appeal to all ages and skill levels.

The courses may be unique, but that’s not to say they don’t include typical features, like windmills and lighthouses.

Opened in 1955, the courses are brimming with 20th-century kitsch, just like any other traditional golf course.

Not surprisingly, Vitense Golfland has been recognized numerous times throughout the decades.

Some of its most impressive accolades include being named Wisconsin’s #1 miniature golf course and being included in USA Today’s list, "10 Great Miniature Golf Courses Across The USA."
