The Old Fashioned Drive-In Restaurant In Washington That Hasn’t Changed In Decades
Lakeview Drive-In in Chelan offers a nostalgic dining experience with fresh burgers, famous fries, and lakeside views.
When it comes to grabbing a quick meal, nothing beats pulling up to an old-fashioned drive-in. Washington is home to plenty of these laid back, nostalgic spots... and if you're planning a trip to Lake Chelan this summer, stopping at Lakeview Drive-In is practically a rite of passage. This old school eatery opens for the season in April, which is good news for locals and tourists alike.
The Lakeview Drive-In is a local landmark that has been serving tasty burgers and fries since 1957.
It's located next to the Lakeshore Marina/RV Park and Don Morse Park on the Manson Highway, so it's impossible to miss.
This is the only restaurant of this nature in Chelan, most likely because no other place could ever compare.
Between the location, the friendly service, and the consistently mouthwatering food, this place is in a league of its own.
The menu is quite simple, mainly consisting of burgers, fish & chips, chicken strips, and sandwiches.
The tartar sauce is homemade, and the burgers are always fresh off the grill.
The fries are pretty famous here, and you can even order them by the bucket.
If you're heading out for a day of boating, this will ensure you don't run out.
If you want to stick around, the drive-in offers some outdoor seating when the weather permits.
This is definitely the cheapest lakeside dining you'll find anywhere. And when you've finished your lunch, you'll definitely want to stick around and order a milkshake or a soft serve cone. Trust us.
The Lakeview Drive-In opens on April 4th, and it will stay open until mid-fall.
Hours and days of operation may vary, but typically they're open Wednesday - Sunday for lunch and dinner hours.
