Pecans are one of nature's most delicious gifts, and candied pecans are one of mankind's. Potter Country Store in Schulenburg does them like no other place you'll ever find, but not many people know about it since the town mainly exists for passing through. Next time you find yourself in the area, you can't pass it up. Here's why:
Tucked away in the Central Texas hills is a little unassuming building with the best pecans in the entire world.
The flavors, like cinnamon sugar, red velvet, pumpkin spice, and more, are simple but executed so perfectly that they almost melt in your mouth.
You can even get party trays of them for holidays. Yeah, they're THAT good.
They sell homemade goodies, too, like scrumptious fudge laced with their addicting nuts...
...and, you guessed it, pecan pies topped with copious amounts of the little gems.
It's just refreshing to see such a quaint, genuine business attracting customers by simply selling what they love. This is why I won't buy candied pecans anywhere else.
