A Renaissance Themed Festival Is Coming To North Carolina And It’s Pure Magic

Are you ready to take a step back in time? How about a North Carolina Renaissance Festival? This is Fairhaven, a Renaissance Faire in North Carolina. Every year, the Carolina Renaissance Festival descends upon the town of Huntersville and welcomes everyone to the fictional town of Fairhaven to enjoy a land of enchanted 15th-century fun, complete with delicious food, live entertainment, and shopping. Welcome to one of the best fall festivals in North Carolina.

Back for another fun season, the Carolina Renaissance Festival is one of the largest Renaissance festivals in the country.

Sprawling across 25 acres, this "pop-up" town really comes alive, and you can be a part of the fun every Saturday and Sunday during October and November.

Rain or shine, the festival goes on. Tickets to the Renaissance Festival can be purchased in advance, which is highly recommended.

Costumes are welcome, and encouraged!

While period-piece costumes are the most popular, feel free to wear any costume you have! Darth Vader walking around Fairhaven will always put a smile on your face.

If you don't come in costume but find yourself inspired once you get there, you can always purchase a costume at the festival.

There are dozens of vendors selling unique, handmade items.

You might just find something you can't live without! It's also a great place to shop for the upcoming holiday season.

As you stroll through the Village Artisan Marketplace, you can watch masters of their craft create their work right before your eyes.

Many are authentic to the process, so you'll have a front-row seat to watch old-world craftsmanship at its finest.

The live entertainment is fun for all ages.

There are over 15 stages peppered around Fairhaven, so there's always something to watch.

From fire walkers to falconry, these talented folks give you a glimpse at what a typical day was like.

The jousting show is always incredible.

All of that walking is bound to work up a thirst.

Stop off and grab a pint of ale and a turkey leg.

There's plenty of food to go around. You might even have the food find you!

Feast like a king as you eat your way through Fairhaven, discovering all the delicious and authentic foods around. Of course, there will be more modern concoctions (like pizza) as well. The Renaissance Festival In North Carolina takes place every Saturday and Sunday from October 5 through November 24, 2024. Get your tickets before they sell out!
