The One-Day Hippie Festival, Rock The Dock, In New York Is An Absolute Blast

Rock The Dock in Lake George, New York, is a family-friendly music festival featuring jam bands and scenic views of the Adirondack Mountains.

Rock The Dock in Lake Placid, New York is a festival for hippies of all ages. It takes place at the Lake George Steamboat company, right on Lake George, and it places some of the best jam bands in America on a stage surrounded by the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. For a relaxing day and night of hippie music, it's hard to beat what many fans call the best hippie festival in Lake George, New York.

Jam bands were meant to be seen outside, and Rock The Dock delivers an experience that utilizes the natural splendor of Lake George to maximum effect.

This year's edition of Rock The Dock takes place on July 8th and features a headlining set from Galactic, a New Orleans-based jam-funk band sure to get the party started.

There are plenty of food and artist vendors on hand at Rock The Dock, so you will be able to stay full and load up on artisan goodies.

Lake George Steamboat Company's historic ships, which are known as the Minne Ha Ha, the Lac du Saint Sacrement and the Mohican, will be on hand. Concertgoers can even watch the show from aboard the ships!

The festival starts at four in the afternoon and runs until 11 at night.

Tickets for the festival are currently on sale for $35. Any kid under the age of 10 can get in for the low price of $10, though.

You don't have to be a fan of hippie music or jam bands to enjoy Rock The Dock—the scenery and good cheer is enough for it to be an enjoyable day.
