If you can believe it, the small town produces over 300 acres of corn per year, more than anyone in Upstate New York! That’s reason enough to celebrate. Eden Corn Festival is a charming festival that showcases the best New York State has to offer. It’s a fun festival in Western New York for all ages. To learn more, keep reading below!

The Eden Corn Festival was created in 1963. The first edition was instantly successful, with visitors enjoying a carnival, a corn queen beauty contest, a pet show, a parade, corn judging and an auction. Back then, Corn was sold for just 10 cents an ear!

After that first festival, it was pronounced that the Eden Corn Festival would not simply be a one-off, but rather an annual event. It has been held every year after 1964.

The Eden Corn festival is completely free to attend. It still features some of those great events that defined the original festival all the way back in the 1960s, including a really fun parade.

The popular game of corn hole is a natural fit for the festival—Eden Corn Festival now hosts a corn hole competition.

You can even catch some great live music at the festival!

And that's not to mention all of the classic fair food and rides you could ever want—just make sure to eat a bunch of corn, too.

For a classic New York experience—albeit one filled with a bit more corn than normal—make the trip to the Eden Corn Festival. The 59th edition of this fun festival in western New York happens this year between August 3rd and 6th. And while you are in the area, why not check out this quirky kazoo gift shop? And, if you need a place to stay around Eden, we recommend the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites, Hamburg.
