The World’s Largest Indoor Model Train Museum Is Right Here In New Jersey At Northlandz

When I was a kid, model railroads were kind of a big deal. I'm not sure if that's still the case but I am sure that New Jersey has one of the biggest and best indoor model railroad museums in the world. Northlandz is a miniature wonderland with trains, dolls, an art gallery, and more. Even if you've been before, it's worth visiting again - they had a grand re-opening in September of 2019. of World Records for being the

World’s Largest Model railroad. You can find it right here in Flemington, New Jersey.

The model railroad here is truly impressive. It's about 50,000 square feet with a whopping 8 miles of track.

You'll find around 260,000 figures, over 100 bridges, over 1000 buildings, and over 400 tunnels!

There are around 250,000 trees and a wide variety of landscapes including mountains, cliffs, oceans, and deserts.

It's a unique experience that the whole family can enjoy.

To top it all off, there's a full size train pulled by steam engine outside. Rides are available, last around 10 minutes, and even include a trip through a tunnel. It's a great way to start or end your visit!

Trains aside, there's a theater playroom with some fascinating instruments. You'll even find a 2,000 piece pipe organ.

And we can't forget about the 200+ dolls, 200+ dollhouses, and art gallery. There's a really diverse mix of cultures and styles represented.

Whether you're 3, 13, 33, or 93 (or any age in between), Northlandz is sure to delight! It's the kind of New Jersey day trip you should take at least once, just to say you did.
