There’s No Place In New Jersey Like This Stunning Natural Sanctuary

Discover the best hiking trails in the Pacific Northwest, known for their stunning scenic views and diverse landscapes.

New Jersey's state parks are great, we ALL know and love them! This means they can get pretty crowded, especially in warmer months. If you're looking to explore the outdoors without the crowds, read on to discover Greenbrook Sanctuary. The beautiful private nature sanctuary is located within Palisades Interstate Park and membership is very affordable.

It's just $40 per year for an individual and $60 for a family.

What do you get for that price? Unlimited access via key to a 165-acre park with streams, ponds, bogs, waterfalls...

...Woodlands, marshes, and six miles of stunning trails.

The nature preserve is managed by the Palisades Nature Association, and they staff the park with a full-time naturalist to answer questions.

It also offers an info center, small museum, booklets about the park's plants and wildlife, a picnic area, and plenty of programming - think guided hikes and family-friendly activities.

Take part in a tai chi class while surrounded by nature or identify different trees in the park with a naturalist!

Thanks to Ken Habermann for many of these beautiful photos! Of course, pictures aren't the same as actually being there...you'll absolutely want to check the sanctuary out in person. For a VIP experience in nature, visit NJPalisades.org/Greenbrook. Find the preserve along the Palisade's Interstate Parkway in Tenafly.
