Whitefish City Beach Is A Beachfront Attraction In Montana You’ll Want To Visit Over And Over Again
Whitefish City Beach in Montana offers a unique beach experience with stunning mountain backdrops and various summer activities.
Montana summers fly by in the blink of an eye. In a state where it's possible (and probable) that we'll see snow in June, it's easy to appreciate the warm sunshine and long, beautiful days. This summer, we hope you'll stick around and explore a little more of Big Sky Country. Start by heading to Whitefish and spending some time at City Beach.
Whitefish is one of Montana's most popular tourist towns, and the City Beach area is definitely a favorite hangout for locals and visitors alike.
That being said, if you're able to go during the week and get an early start, you'll have no problem claiming a patch of sand as your own.
We (obviously) don't have ocean beaches here in Montana, but most of us prefer the stunning mountain backdrops to anything the coastal states' beaches can offer.
Whitefish Lake is a seven-mile-long glacial lake, so it certainly feels like you're standing by the sea when you approach the shoreline.
This delightful park has a designated swimming area, docks, gazebos, picnic tables, and of course, a sandy beach.
This is the closest you'll get to an ocean beach in Montana, and it's amazing.
In the summertime, you can paddleboard, go kayaking, or even go swimming.
There are almost always refreshment stands available nearby for those who need a snack.
Of course, it's perfectly acceptable to plop down a beach towel, kick off your flip-flops, and enjoy a good book or simply relax.
Whitefish City Beach can feel fast-paced in the summer, but it's also easy to leave feeling rested.
The next time you need a change of scenery, consider City Beach.
Even in a city full of attractions and gems like Whitefish, this place tends to steal the spotlight.
