In the past, we’ve told you about Square Books in Oxford. In addition to being enormous, the 3-building bookstore is one of the best in the nation. And while Square Books is well deserving of its accolades, it’s not the state’s only celebrated bookstore. There’s also Turnrow Book Company, which is sure to impress in more ways than one. Take a look:

Opened in 2006, Turnrow Book Company can be found in the Fountain Building in downtown Greenwood. From the outside, it may not look like anything special, but looks can be deceiving.

As soon as you set foot inside, it’s clear Turnrow Book Company isn’t your typical bookstore.

The store’s sheer size alone is sure to impress – it’s 4,000 square feet! And almost every last inch of it is filled with great books.

In addition to popular titles that you’ll find at any other bookstore, Turnrow Book Company stocks regional reads, such as cookbooks as well as Southern and Delta literature.

But it’s not just adult literary lovers who can appreciate what the store has to offer. Turnrow Book Company features an extensive children’s section – and that’s in addition to hosting a variety of kid’s events with authors and illustrators.

There are tons of events for adults, too. Throughout the year, the store hosts everything from cozy readings to large-scale presentations.
