The ultimate jazz festival is coming to Detroit on Labor Day weekend.

From September 1st-4th, Detroit will host its annual Jazz Festival, which is free to music fans looking to listen to tunes from jazz artists, past and present.

The festival will be a four-day extravaganza.

There will be a large range of artists during the festival including Herbie Hancock, Regina Carter, The Wayne Shorter Quartet, jazz fusionist Miles Mosley, and a Detroit jam session by hometown saxophonist George Benson.

Listen to the surviving members of Miles Davis' Second Great Quintet of the 60s, as well as tons of new and young jazz musicians.

On opening night, you'll get a sweet treat to the tunes of Miles Davis' Second Great Quintet, and also hear Wayne Shorter Quartet, which has earned worldwide recognition.

More than 30 artists will hit the stage this September.

The awesome festival will have more than 30 jazz artists and will also include two performances to celebrate the late pianist Thelonious Monk.
