You Won’t Want To Miss These Incredible Fireworks Shows In Detroit This Year

Explore five stunning fireworks shows in the Metro Detroit area to celebrate the 4th of July.

Summertime is upon us here in the Motor City, and you know what that means: it’s time to celebrate the 4th of July! Whether you spend the holiday cooking out with loved ones, enjoying a relaxing afternoon with friends, or simply playing with a sparkler or two, one thing is for sure: no Independence Day celebration is complete without fireworks. You might be wondering, "Where can I find awesome fireworks near me this year?" You’ve come to the right place. Here are five stunning fireworks shows in the Metro Detroit area, along with a full list of celebrations by county. Happy 4th, Detroit!

1. Ford Fireworks Show (Detroit River, 1 Hart Plaza, Detroit)

This exciting celebration will take place a few days before the 4th itself, but don’t let that stop you from checking it out! Walk along the lovely Detroit River, catch marvelous city skyline views, watch live performances, and snack on classic carnival food as you await the big show. The fireworks kick off at 9:55 PM at Hart Plaza on June 26.

2. Salute To America Festival (Greenfield Village, The Henry Ford, Dearborn)

Greenfield Village has long served as an exciting step back in time for Michiganders of all ages, but it truly comes to life during the summer months. Every night from June 30 through July 3, you’ll have the chance to enjoy live performances by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, which culminate each evening in a magical fireworks display. 3. Borden Park Fireworks (Rochester Hills)

This exciting family event in Rochester Hills is a total blast (pun intended), but that means you'll want to plan ahead to snag a great spot! You’ll enjoy a fun evening out with loved ones as you celebrate our country’s independence. The fireworks will proceed rain or shine on June 28 at dusk.

4. Clawson Fireworks (City Park, Clawson)

Make a day of it and enjoy the festivities in lovely Clawson, just a 20-minute drive from downtown Detroit. The town puts on a fun-filled Independence Day parade on the 4th of July, followed by a carnival, plenty of delicious food, and — of course — a fireworks show at 10:00 PM.

5. Holly Fireworks (Lakeside Memorial Park, 315 S. Broad St, Holly)

Looking for a slightly less crowded spot to enjoy a gorgeous fireworks show? The town of Holly hosts a classic display each year on the 4th itself. Venture into town with your family in tow and settle in to appreciate the sights and sounds of the holiday. Fireworks will kick off promptly at 10:00 PM at Lakeside Memorial Park.
