You Won’t Want To Miss These Incredible Fireworks Shows In Louisiana This Year

This year, you may be wondering, "are there any fireworks near me?" Well, yes! And we’ve got a comprehensive list of ALL the best fireworks shows in Louisiana so you can start making your plans!
1. Baton Rouge: USS KIDD’S Fourth Of July Spectacular
For more than 20 years, the USS KIDD has been hosting a 4th of July celebration in the downtown Baton Rouge Area. Vendor booths open at 4pm, there’s a hot dog eating contest and a pie baking contest at 5:15pm, live music throughout the night and so much more. The fireworks will go off at 9pm, so make sure to get a good seat!
2. New Orleans: Go 4th on the River
Voted one of the best fireworks displays in the country, this fireworks show will leave you in awe. At 9pm, witness a fireworks display from two barges over the Mississippi between Gov. Nichols St. Wharf and Canal St. Dock. This is definitely one of the most amazing fireworks displays in the state, you don't want to miss it!
3. Shreveport Independence Day Festival
KTBS 3/KPXJ CW21 Independence Day Festival kicks off its 9th year with a jam packed day. The firecracker 5K starts at 7:30am, followed by live music, a steak cookout, a candied apple eating contest, karaoke, and more. You won’t want to miss this free, family-friendly event! The best part is the big fireworks show which will begin at 9:15pm.

4. Natchitoches: Celebration on the Cane

Every year, Natchitoches puts on a dazzling fireworks display on the banks of the scenic Cane River Lake. It’s a full day of activities and music all ending with the grand fireworks show. Admission is free and the fireworks over the river kicks off at 9pm.
5. Lake Charles: Red, White, Blue & You!
From 6pm-9:30pm head down to the Lake Charles Civic Center for family fun. The event starts with a a parade that will roll on Ryan Street from Mill Street to Dr. Michael DeBakey Drive starting at 6pm. At the Civic Center, expect live music, local food vendors, and face painting for the kids. The evening concludes with a fireworks show over the lake around 9pm. Admission is free.
