This beautiful replica of a castle is located at 230 Pisgah Pike in Versailles.
The construction was started in 1969.
It was the dream of Rex and Caroline Bogaert Martin, as he was giving his queen her very own castle.
The design was inspired during a trip to Germany.
The Martins became fascinated with the architecture in the ancient and famed buildings of Europe. Unfortunately, they divorced in 1975, and the castle went to market in 1988 as an unfinished oddity.
It was purchased by Thomas R Post and his wife in 2003.
Renovations were completed in 2008 and the castle became a magical inn/B&B for people like us to spend a high class medieval night or weekend. It is a favored spot for "fairy tale" weddings and events.
Castle Post is a real castle now.
It has a library, music room, dining hall, swimming pool, ball room, basketball and tennis courts, formal garden and 11 amazing suites. Several of the bedrooms are on the outside turrets.
The property sits on 50 acres of rolling hills.
The grass and landscaping is beautiful, especially the garden area. The dragon sculpture gives a surreal feel to the castle, especially at night.
Castle Post is the perfect fairy tale getaway.
You get pampered treatment, luxury accommodations, service with a smile, amenities and you treated like royalty during your stay.
The fees are not low budget, but what else would you expect from a castle. This hidden castle in Kentucky is like stepping back into medieval times.
