Walk Through A Sea Of Flowers At The Iowa Arboretum And Gardens’ Spring Flower Walk

Iowa Arboretum and Gardens in Madrid hosts an annual Spring Flower Walk showcasing seasonal blooms.

Iowa has some incredible botanical gardens, like the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden and the Dubuque Arboretum. These beloved local attractions have events going all year round, and that means they're usually packed. But Iowa also has some smaller gardens and arboretums, like the Iowa Arboretum and Gardens in the small town of Madrid. This charming botanical garden is a secluded retreat that changes with the seasons, but it's about to undergo its biggest transformation of the year. On June 3rd, the arboretum is hosting its annual Spring Flower Walk in Iowa, an opportunity to see the spring and early summer flowers in full bloom. The garden is always free for members and only $8 for non-members, so it's the perfect way to spend a day in the great outdoors.

The Iowa Arboretum and Gardens are in full bloom, and you'll be blown away at this unique location.

The gardens are always home to hundreds of unique flowers and trees, creating a combination of organized exhibits and natural beauty.

But at this time of year, the gardens are looking a little brighter than they normally do - because it's almost time for the annual Spring Flower Walk!

Taking place on June 3rd, this two-hour event takes guests on a tour around the grounds to learn about this season's species.

Hosted by the curator of the grounds, it's the best way to discover all the arboretum and gardens have to offer, whether you're a first-time visitor or a frequent guest.

Many of the familiar sights around the garden look even more beautiful this time of year.

While the main gardens are stunning, it's always worth exploring a little off the beaten path into the arboretum's wooded areas and trails.

This site is so beautiful, it's no surprise that it's one of Iowa's best wedding and event venues!
