Taking place Dec. 2, 2023, this Illinois Holiday Lights Parade will run through downtown Springfield beginning at 5:30 p.m. as locals line the streets.
This year, the route will begin on Jefferson Street before switching to 5th Street and then Monroe Street before going onto 6th Street and then onto Washington Street.
Like any good parade, this one features, fabulous floats, marching bands, and many other forms of entertainment. There will be businesses representing themselves as well as other local teams and organizations to cheer along.

The Village of South Holland is hosting a fireworks show at Veterans Memorial Park. The fireworks show will kick off at dusk following an afternoon of fun with bounce houses, balloon artists and even a giant slide.

The city of Elgin encourages people to hit the streets and showcase their patriotism by taking part in the annual Fourth of July Parade on Douglas Avenue. 7. Knights Action Park/Trade Winds 4th of July - Springfield, Illinois
