Attention, all cheese lovers! In January 2023, you will want to make the trek up north to Coeur d’Alene to the annual Mac and Cheese Festival in Idaho. Here, you can enjoy a day devouring various takes on this favorite comfort dish. It is one day your taste buds will start to dance in excitement!

Mark your calendars for January 14, 2023, to attend the annual Mac and Cheese Festival in Coeur d’Alene. Located in various venues in downtown CDA, you will get to spend the day tasting some of the best macaroni and cheese around.

This delicious food festival features multiple local chefs who are all competing for one thing — the Golden Noodle Award.

During this festival, you will get to taste numerous mac and cheese dishes and vote for your favorite. Plus, there are craft beer pairings so you will be in for a day of good food and great drinks.

To attend this festival, you must purchase a cheese package. The package you choose determines how many macaroni and cheese dishes you can enjoy, as well as beer tastings and other swag you may receive.

The packages start with the Kiddie Mac, perfect for children 12 years and under. This allows the guest to enjoy four different mac and cheese dishes from professional chefs. The packages increase with the largest being a Mac Daddy, which includes overnight accommodations at the Coeur d’Alene Resort and two mac and cheese and beer tickets.

After you have chosen your package, you will also choose your check-in time. This will determine if you wish to enjoy your macaroni and cheese dishes for lunch or dinner. Then, you get to eat!

You’ll find all types of unique mac and cheese creations during this food event. Some creations from past festivals include mac and cheese waffle cones, cheesy gelato, and macaroni and cheese tacos.
