Everyone In Georgia Should See What’s Inside This Once Abandoned 20th Century Apothecary

Not only is this once-abandoned 20th century apothecary located in an extremely tiny town in Georgia, but it also can be explored for anyone who visits. Take a look and see for yourself...

The small town of Maxeys, Georgia has a population of less than 300 residents with less than 77 households throughout.

Perhaps the most unique aspect of this tiny Georgia town however, is it's rich history.

There was one particular once-abandoned place that seemingly had been frozen in time, since the late 1800s.

YouTuber Michael Francisco came across this abandoned 20th century apothecary in Maxeys, Georgia and what was inside was truly fascinating.

With equal parts grim wonderment and complete allure, the apothecary was still in relatively great condition, almost as if it had been left suddenly with no explanation why.

Bottles lined the walls filled with all types of liquids and elixirs which once helped the ailing residents of Maxeys.

It wasn’t hard to picture the history behind this enchanting place and how it must have been centuries ago.

Dust may have coated the bottles of zinc oxide compound and other unfamiliar ointments…

…but it was interesting to take a trip back in time to see what a small town apothecary was truly about.

Interestingly enough, Wayne Ford and Faye Dennis Short found the apothecary to be quite special too, which is why they have restored it to it’s full glory and it is officially listed within the National Registry of Historic Places

Guests can visit this restored apothecary and get a less creepy and much more informative tour of the area.
