The Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse was constructed back in 1887 and stretches into the sky 175-feet.

This massive structure took three years to build, comprised of one and a quarter million bricks!

Visitors to the historic lighthouse can actually climb the 203 steps in order to get to the gallery deck, which is worth the trek up.

Because once you get to the top, you’ll have views that stretch out miles in every direction.

Learn all about the history of illumination, going from stoves and candles to oil lamps and the Fresnel lens.

But visiting this lighthouse is so much more than just the fascinating structure of the actual working lighthouse. There is also a museum and gift shop on the property, too.
