The Country’s Largest Convenience Store Is Slated To Open In Colorado In 2023

Have you heard the news? Colorado - which is already home to so many of the biggest and best things in the country - will soon boast the largest convenience store in America! What is this place, and why should we care, you ask? It is one of the most famous places down south, and it's about to make its grand debut in the West. Lucky us! Have you ever heard of Bucees (or Buc-ee's, depending on who you ask)? Seriously, it's soon to be one of the best things to do in Colorado (for a gas station). Check it out:

Coming soon to I-25 and County Road 48 in Johnstown is a Buc-ee's gas station and convenience store!

Born in Texas (and currently located in Texas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, and South Carolina), Buc-ee's is famous for its "clean bathrooms and many fueling positions," as well as other aspects that make it a traveler's favorite.

Awesome news: the new Buc-ee's will span an impressive 74,000 square feet and will also include 120 gas pumps and the company's beloved "award-winning clean bathrooms." Talk about AWESOME!

Fun fact: The current largest convenience store in America is the Buc-ee's in New Braunfels, Texas, which spans 66,335 square feet.

Founded in 1982, Buc-ee's is much more than just a gas station and convenience store, as it features its own brand of snacks and merchandise, delicious BBQ and baked goods, and fantastic photo ops.

If you have ever visited, you know that you can easily spend an entire afternoon eating and shopping around Buc-ee's!

Groundbreaking for the new Buc-ee's took place on June 7, 2022, with plans to open in late 2023 (and by 2024).
