You’ve Never Tasted Anything Like These 7 Unique Desserts In Delaware
There’s nothing I love more than dessert after a fine meal, and I’m sure many of my fellow Delawareans feel the same. The next time you’re looking for an incredible dessert in Delaware that’s famous state-wide, try these favorites from local restaurants.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here:
1. Chocolate Crepe, Crepes and Crazes, Wilmington
Please note, Crepes and Crazes is no longer in business.
The Crepes at Crepes and Crazes are out of this world - by far the best flaky desserts in Delaware. Their breakfast and lunch crepes are delicious, too, but where they really shine is after your meal. If you love sweet and flaky, you'll be so happy you stopped by. 1204 Coastal Hwy
Fenwick Island, DE
2. The Napoelon, Green Room, Wilmington
Please note, Green Room is no longer in business.
The Green Room is famous for their macaroons, but every dessert you have here is the best of its kind. The Napoleon is one of the best I've ever had. Hotel Du Pont
11th & Market St
Wilmington, DE 19801
3. Any Gelato, Caffe Gelato
All of the UD students know that Caffe Gelato is where you take your parents when they come to visit, and everyone who's walked by this Main Street Newark restaurant knows how tempting it is to try a cone of homemade gelato. Unique flavors sit alongside classics, and every one is mouthwatering.
90 E Main St, Newark, DE
4. Moon Pie, Blue Moon, Rehoboth Beach
Blue Moon is the quirkiest restaurant in Rehoboth Beach, and their famous Moon Pie is their signature dessert. If you ever crave an amazing ice cream cake, head on down to Rehoboth Beach.
35 Baltimore Ave, Rehoboth Beach, DE
5. Krazy Kat's, Monchanin
Krazy Kat's takes all of their food seriously, and their newest addition is this incredible Pots de Crème. Could there be anything better than chocolate graham cracker biscotti with brandied cherry jam, salted caramel and bruleed house made fluff? I don't think so.
528 Montchanin Rd
6. Oreo Cheesecake Spring Roll, Mikimotos
Mikimotos is known for their sushi dessert, but the best dessert I've had there is the Oreo cheesecake spring roll. When it comes to desserts in Delaware, Mikimotos has some of the most creative concoctions in the state.
1212 N Washington St
Wilmington, DE 19801
7. Homemade Cakes, The Backyard, Milton
When it comes to almost any "best of" list in Delaware, The Backyard makes the cut. Their homemade desserts in Delaware are among the best in every category - cakes, cookies, brownies and more are absolutely delicious.
211 Broadkill Rd
Milton, DE 19968
Oh man, now I’m starving! I think I’ll grab an
inexpensive lunch in Delaware before splurging on these amazing after-dinner treats.
