The Best Pizza In Delaware
While lots of websites will tell you that Grotto's has the best pizza in Delaware, we're sure that many Delawareans would agree that isn't quite the case. Sure, there's a place and a time for Grotto's, and I probably would not have made it through UD without their late-night slices, but when it comes to tracking down truly delicious and gourmet pizza, there's one place to go - Frederica. This pizza and pasta kitchen in Kent County has earned a reputation for making the best pizza in Delaware, and it's conveniently located right in the middle of the state! Stop by on your way to the beaches or visit for lunch after a day in the Killens Pond Water Park - it's worth the detour for sure.

The Most Delicious Tacos In Delaware
Wilmington is the best taco city in Delaware, hands-down. There are so many great hole-in-the-wall spots that make delicious and flavorful tacos that it was hard to decide on the best! The selection at El Pique is what finally won us over, though. Stop by to try something new pretty frequently - there are a dozen different types of tacos on the menu! This popular taqueria only has a few tables, so if you're looking to dine during peak hours, you're best ordering takeout and enjoying your meal from the comfort of your own home.

The Oldest Italian Restaurant In Delaware
Wilmington's Little Italy neighborhood is full of culinary treasures from homemade pasta, to cannoli, to cheeses from some of the best cheesemakers in the country - but one spot has been around longer than any other. Mrs. Robino's is a neighborhood classic and their signature sauce draws in diners from all over the region. Stop in for spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, or chicken parm that you'll be talking about for days.

The Most Mouth-Watering Donuts In Delaware
Rehoboth Beach has a ton of junk food options - in fact, if you're going to go on a sweet tooth bender, there's no better place to visit. Fracture Prune may be a little off-the-beaten-path, but this bright and cheery donut shop is the place to go to create a morning snack that would impress even the most creative pastry chef. You can order one of their in-house specials or make your own. Your imagination is the only limit!
There's seriously no better way to start the day
The Most Amazing Ice Cream In Delaware
There are a handful of dairy farms in Delaware that serve farm-fresh ice cream, and each one is worth a visit. UDairy on the UD campus, Hopkins Farm in Lewes, and Woodside Farm in Hockessin are three that stand out, and if you're looking for the best ice cream in Delaware, you'd best plan a visit to all three. If you do only have time to visit one dairy farm creamery in Delaware, though, make it Vanderwende Creamery, way out in Bridgeville. It's worth the drive, and you'll get to hang out with the cows while you pick up your pints or shovel down a scoop on a freshly made cookie cone.

One Of The Best Bakeries In Delaware
Our favorite bakery in Delaware is in an unexpected spot - Milton! The Backyard is a restaurant that's known for its quirky decor and outdoor patio with yard games, but we like to visit to try their delicious baked goods. While it's hard to say for sure if they're home to the best bakery in Delaware, their selection of creative cakes and beautifully decorated cookies make The Backyard a strong contender and one spot that we're always coming back to visit.

One Of A Kind Sandwiches In Delaware
If you ask anyone from outside of Delaware where to get a sandwich, they'll tell you Capriotti's, and they wouldn't be wrong. But since you can grab a Bobbie all over the place now - even in Las Vegas - we wanted to focus on a smaller sandwich shop that serves our favorite sandwiches. Ioannoni's Bullroasters are mouth-watering, no matter which one you order. It's hard to beat the Roast Pork Supremo - fresh roasted pork and provolone with broccoli rabe - so that would be our must-try suggestion.
