There’s No Chapel In The World Like This One In Arkansas

Sister to Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, which we covered previously, Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel is just about perfect. It is located in the lovely town of Bella Vista, and is a memorial to its namesake, who was deeply spiritual and had a great love for nature. Built in 1988, it was designed by E. Fay Jones, a protégé of Frank Lloyd Wright.

It is made of glass and steel, but feels like part of the forest.

It was built with old Gothic cathedrals in mind. It has 15 main arches that reach 50 feet high.

You can rent the chapel for a wedding, vow renewal, or baptism.

You can meditate, pray, or simply enjoy the view. The family hopes that the chapel inspires people as much as Mildred B. Cooper herself did, and they have provided a beautiful way to make sure that generation after generation experiences her love of nature and deep spirituality.
