Globe is a small town located in central Arizona, approximately two hours east of Phoenix via US-60. Historically a mining town, these hills also hold a fair amount of history and incredible food.
Locals know that small towns in this area of the state serve delicious Sonoran-style Mexican food but Globe stands out. And this town―with a population just over 7,500―is home to a dozen or so Mexican restaurants, many owned and operated by the same families for decades.
Everyone who stops by to dine in town has their favorite restaurant: La Casita for enchilada-style burros, El Ranchito for menudo, Burger House for red chile burros. This list goes on!
Restaurants like Guayo’s On The Trail, Chalo’s La Casa Reynoso, and J & R’s Reynoso El Rey represent a powerhouse of Mexican cuisine, known for meals that are delicious, filling, and comforting.
