There is only a moderate 700 foot elevation gain. It’s an out and back trail that spends a beautiful portion paralleling the water.
These stunning views happen 8/10th into the very first mile! After that you can enjoy the wildflowers for the next stretch, before you hit stream crossings.
The stream's water level can vary, so check your weather conditions! You may also run across wildlife. Many bears, moose, and eagles have been spotted off the trail.
