The Ester Dome Trail has an inner loop that has you walking through a magical aspen and birch forest. The trail is stunning in all seasons, and offers a beautiful immersion into nature on a well groomed path. Enjoy a break from the fast pace of life by strolling through this forest!
An easy trail, it’s only a 2.7 mile loop in the area around Ester Dome. As it’s a shorter distance, it’s a nice route for beginners!
You will only climb about 465 feet total elevation gain. That gain is all through a series of gradual switchbacks, so there’s no hard push up a steep hill anywhere!

Moose are frequent visitors to the area, as well as many types of birds. There are occasionally bears in the area, so keep an eye out while you’re in the forest.
