The scary story behind this haunted trail is based on Native American folklore. In 1831, fur trappers believed that a tribe of Native American people had stolen their horses and attacked them as revenge.
What resulted was a horrible massacre that killed almost all of the tribe members, leaving the area supposedly haunted by their spirits. There have been reports of people seeing ghosts wandering the canyon as well as the sounds of voices chanting from far away. If that doesn’t send chills down your spine, nothing will!
