New Hampshire Is Number One At All of These Things

New Hampshire may be small, but it is still the number one state when it comes to a couple of things. Some good, some not so good. Here are the things in which New Hampshire is number one:

1. Student loan debt per capita.

Luckily, New Hampshire also has a great unemployment rate for new grads.

2. Representatives per person.

Your voice will be heard in government.

3. Financial knowledge.

New Hampshire residents are ranked #1 in their knowledge of fundamental economics and financial concepts.

4. Overall awesomeness.

We already knew it, but in 2015 the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development ranked New Hampshire the #1 state to live in.

5. Standardized test scores.

New Hampshire students rank top on the SAT and ACT college entrance exams.

6. Strongest state.

For the third year in a row, Politico.com has ranked New Hampshire the state with the strongest union, judged by quality of life standards like home ownership and health indications.

7. Highest wind speed recorded by man.

It was 231 miles per hour, recorded at the summit of Mount Washington in 1934.

8. Drunkest state.

New Hampshire consumes the most alcohol per capita, a whopping 4,680 gallons of alcohol per capita. We blame the tourists.

What would you rank New Hampshire #1 at?
