Devils Tower is one of the best places in the entire country for stargazers — particularly if you're on the lookout for UFOs. There's a reason that this national monument was chosen as the location for Close Encounters of the Third Kind... there's something otherworldly about the monolith.
2. South Pass

The South Pass area is unique because it contains the remnants of the migrant trails that made their way through Wyoming. When you look up at the stars, you can just imagine what it was like to cross this land as a pioneer.

Along the way, if you’re lucky, you’ll encounter elk, deer, and maybe even moose, which are always a special treat. While this is a long one, you won’t be disappointed if you lace up your hiking shoes and decide to conquer it!
