You Can Watch Planes Land At This Underrated Restaurant In Wisconsin

Over on Madison’s northeast side is a brilliant little diner with huge portions of homemade food that have been satisfying diners for more than 40 years.

The folks who opened O’Malley’s Jet Room first ran a farm restaurant in Waunakee for 20 years. After a year out of the restaurant biz, they came back and opened this awesome place right in Madison. Since 2002, they’ve been in a gorgeous new building serving up stellar food with even better views.

With a whole wall of windows looking out onto the runway, your meal comes with a bit of a show as you get to watch all kinds of aircraft, from commercial to personal to military, take off and land.
