There are lots of reasons to visit the recently renovated Forks Restaurant in Elkins, West Virginia (formerly known as The Forks Inn Restaurant).

The food is upscale and delicious.

The interior finishes are excellent, from a quirky cork wall to a comforting stone fireplace.

There's lots of seating, including plenty of space on several large, open air covered patios.

But while all those are great, valid reasons to visit Forks, they're not the best reason. This is the best reason - this view right here.

The view from Forks Restaurant is just as pretty in winter as it is in spring, summer, and fall, so come at any time of year to enjoy a meal with a view - but make sure to call ahead.

As of this writing, in person dining at Forks is by reservation only. If you come without a reservation, they won't be able to seat you!
